Beaches Negril

Located on Long Bay, this all-inclusive resort is a member of the Sandals family. Unlike the Sandals resorts, however, Beaches is for everyone: families, singles, and couples. Best for honeymooners who are blending new families or for couples having a destination wedding and bringing a wedding party which includes children. Couples (but not couples with children) staying here can enjoy reciprocal privileges at Sandals Negril or Beaches Sandy Bay.

Beaches Sandy Bay
Formerly Poinciana, this member of the Beaches chain welcomes families so it's best as an option for honeymooners with kids or destination wedding parties with children. (Another option is for the wedding party to stay at Sandals and the members of the wedding party, including children, to stay here or at Beaches Negril.)

Couples Negril
This couples-only property exudes a relaxed, Caribbean atmosphere. As with Couples Ocho Rios, everything is included in the all-inclusive offering, from top shelf liquors to watersports to transfers as well as some off property tours. Be sure to ask about the package deal combining a stay at Couples Ocho Rios with Couples Negril.

Couples Swept Away
This 134-suite all-inclusive markets itself to the fitness and health-conscious couple. With plenty of sports activities ranging from watersports to a full gym located across the street from the resort, Couples Swept Away offers a slightly different package than its neighbors.

Grand Lido Negril
Part of the SuperClubs chain, this elegant resort is for overachievers who want to relax and kick back on the beach, but still enjoy 24-hour room service, top shelf liquors, and all the amenities of a fine resort. The resort is especially proud of the Zein, a 147-foot yacht that takes guests on sunset cruises. The yacht was originally a wedding gift from Aristotle Onassis to Prince Rainier and Princess Grace. Daily lessons are offered in snorkeling, scuba diving, and water skiing at Grand Lido, plus private tennis lessons. For something less strenuous, there's the white sand beach for lazy (and, along one stretch, nude) sunbathing or satellite TV back in the room. For the ultimate in pampering, guests can indulge with a complimentary manicure or pedicure.

Hedonism II
Ask any guest why they picked this Seven Mile Beach resort and you might hear for the partying, for the nude beach, or for the disco, a throbbing high-tech affair that brings in guests from other Negril resorts with purchase of a night pass.

Riu Negril
This Spanish chain of all-inclusives has two new properties in Negril.

Sandals Negril
Part of the popular Sandals couples-only chain that originated in Jamaica, this resort is popular with young, sports-oriented couples. Watersports are a big offering and the resort even includes one pool just for scuba lessons. Tennis, racquetball, squash, and other activities are included for landlubbers.
Couples staying here can also dine at Beaches Negril.

Sunset at the Palms
Negril is bordered to the east by the Great Morass, a swampland rich with peat, a substance that was considered as a possible energy source in the 1970s when scientists studied the feasibility of mining this resource. Environmental concerns about the possibility of damaging Negril's famous Seven Mile Beach put a stop to the mining plans. During the study of the Morass, these researchers lived in cabins in Negril. Today, Negril Cabins utilizes those original structures plus several new buildings and operates as a resort for those want to combine the luxuries of a hotel with the natural experience of camping. Visitors enjoy Swiss Family Robinson-style accommodations in cabins perched on stilts. Lush grounds are filled with indigenous Jamaican flora and fauna and dotted with colorful hummingbirds. Today this resort is operated by the same company as Sunset Beach Resort in Montego Bay.
