Shop for a Tree Together

from How to Have A Romantic Holiday

Yes, you could just go pick out a tree on your trip to the grocery store but selecting a tree together is a romantic way to begin the holidays. if time and geography permit, you can even visit a tree farm where you can select your own right from the ground.

A living Christmas tree is another romantic option. "We bought a living tree our first Christmas together," says Heather. "We planted it together right after the holidays. Now every time I see that tree, I remember that first Christmas together."

Make the tree selection a complete event. Set aside the day as a "day trip," traveling to the tree farm or a lot like a mini-vacation. Celebrate the new arrival with a bottle of bubbly, some wine and cheese, or a special dinner.
