The holidays make the perfect time to say "I do" for the first time or once again as a rededication of your love. This holiday activity can take a little pre-planning. Although the paperwork details vary from location to location, in general you’ll need:

- official birth certificate (with a raised seal)
- photo ID
- proof of death, if either of you is widowed
- proof of final divorce, if either of you is divorced

A vow renewal is even simpler to arrange. If you are already legally married to each other, you can set up a vow renewal with just a few calls. You’ll have no paperwork or licensing to worry about...only the planning of an event to reconfirm your love for each other.
