Gatlinburg Weather

There's one way to sum up Gatlinburg's weather: changeable. With the mountain influences, weather can change quickly, switching from sunny to rainy to sunny again before you realize what's happening. Summer's are hot but rain can be expected; winter is cold and can, especially at the higher elevations, can be snowy. Fall and spring are spectacular with crisp days and color from foliage and wildflowers.

Regardless of when you visit, layers are the best way to dress. Expect to add--and subtract--some layers as you go through the day.
