Rocky Waters Motor Inn
This motel is located on the northern edges of Gatlinburg
(or, at least on what used to be the northern edges of the city...those
boundaries keep scooting out as the town grows.) Long a favorite of ours,
Rocky Waters has the atmosphere of Gatlinburg: a property that focuses
on the river, private balconies so you can relax in privacy,
Rooms are located on both sides of the river; the older
side (directly on Parkway) is a little more convenient but a little noisier
than that newer rooms across the river.
Although the motel is a bit of a walk from downtown, you'll
find a trolley stop right outside, a convenient way to pop into town.
Features: complimentary Continental breakfast, remote control
TV with VCRs and free HBO, two swimming pools, two outdoor hot tubs, mini-fridge
and coffee maker in all rooms. Some rooms have wood burning fireplaces;
there are also honeymoon suites available.
