Welcome Centers: The
Spur Welcome Center, located on the north entrance to Gatlinburg, serves
as both a city visitors center and a center for Great Smoky Mountains
National Park. Here you'll find lots of info on local businesses as well
as video presentations on local activities. From the center, you can place
free calls to make reservations or have free internet access to make your
lodging arrangements. (Convenient tip: One of Gatlinburgs
Park and Ride lots is situated at the Spur Welcome Center. The parking
is free, and you can board a convenient twenty-five cent trolley to chauffeur
you into the center of town.)
You'll also find staffed Gatlinburg Welcome
Centers downtown at Traffic Light #3 and on the Plaza just outside Ripleys
Aquarium of the Smokies downtown.
There's a seasonal welcome center, the Heritage
Welcome Center, at the intersection of Glades and Proffitt Roads in the
Great Smoky Arts & Crafts Community. It open only from spring through
fall.

check out WGAT-TV, Channel 69. This is Gatlinburgs Visitor Information
Channel and it features segments on attractions, dining and activities
in the area.
