Getting Around Gatlinburg
Gatlinburg is a small town...but one with big city traffic
problems during peak months. While the city is driveable and easy to maneuver
in terms of direction, you'll find that traffic along Parkway is often
bumper to bumper and parking is at a premium.
The answer? Gatlinburg trolleys. These low-cost trolleys
(rates start at 25 cents, varying by route) start and stop around town
and outlying areas.
The
heart of the trolley system is the Gatlinburg Mass Transit Center beside
the Aquarium. Here you can catch one of the many routes including:
Parkway and Welcome Center Trolley You'll find a free
parking lot at the Welcome Center and can hop a trolley to head into
town to the Aquarium's trolley center.
Pigeon Forge connector to Dollywood and Patriot Park
East Parkway and City Hall Trolley
Uptown Loop Trolley (along the Historic Nature Trail)
Arts & Crafts Trolley
