When in: Moorea


Most travelers to Moorea arrive first into Tahiti's capital city of Papeete then make the seven-minute flight to this relaxed paradise. Most hotels (including most of those dreamy overwater bungalows called bures) are found on the north coast but the two of you can easily explore the entire island.

Don't miss:

* Belvedere Lookout--A great way to get the lay of the land, you'll see the island's beautiful bays and fringe of beaches.

* Marae--These ancient sites are made of volcanic stone.

* The Restaurants--With its French culture and plentiful seafood, this island is a treasure trove of romantic restaurants.
