What?? This strange sounding term is actually easy to figure out if you picture it: Let's say you want to take a cruise that departs from San Juan, Puerto Rico and sails to Aruba. You'll fly to San Juan but want to fly home from Aruba without returning to San Juan. That's an open jaw ticket. The itinerary is shaped like an open jaw with travelers flying in one city, somehow (usually a cruise or rail trip) traveling to another destination, and flying home from that second destination. |
