Emergency Exit Row

What's the emergency exit row? It's the row with the exit doors used in case of an emergency.

Sitting in an emergency row has some advantages:

  • you'll have more legroom
  • the row in front of you can't recline

To obtain this row, you can't be traveling with kids, you must be able to understand oral instructions (no language or hearing problems), and you muyst be strong enough to lift the door, which is close to 50 pounds

Often exit rows can only be assigned at the airport, not on the phone. Request this row when you're checking in. It never hurts to ask!
