Codesharing

Whether or not you have a favorite airline, codesharing may be an important concept for you to know as you plan your airline arrangements.

Codesharing means that two airlines have an agreement that benefits both their passengers. One flight gets two numbers: one for each airline. Travelers get to obtain frequent flyer miles from either (not both) airline or use their frequent flyer miles to obtain a ticket or an upgrade.
