Check-Out Time

Your flight home is at 6pm. You need to be at the airport at 4pm. It's now noon and time for you to be out of the room--what should you do?

First of all, ask if late check-out is possible. If your room isn't being readied for another guest, you just might be able to have the room for a few more hours. (Some properties will charge you an additional fee for this.)

If that's not possible, ask if you can store your bags with the bellman until it's time for your departure. You can then continue with your sightseeing then return to the hotel when it's time to go.

If you're at a beach resort, ask if the bags can be stored with the bellman and ask if the hotel offers a courtesy changing room. Often beach resorts have a room you'll be able to use to change out of your swimsuit and into your travel clothes, enjoying the beach until it's time to go.
