Privacy on Your Villa Honeymoon continued
from Honey, We're Home: Planning
a Caribbean Villa Honeymoon The privacy that drew this couple to Rockworks tops the
list of reasons why honeymooners opt for villa rather than resort experiences.
Nancy Anderson of
McLaughlin Anderson Luxury Villas, one of the USVIs top villa
rental companies, notes that at a villa, honeymooners can be naked
in the pool, stay up all night and watch the stars or grab a beer out
of the refrigerator at 3am. Its like being at home but in a fabulous
place. Some honeymooners stay ensconced in their villa all week
and have the world come to them in the form of licensed masseuses for
poolside treatments and gourmet chefs for a special meal prepared en suite.
Prices for Caribbean villas range from day rates comparable
to a resort to the-skys-the-limit. Off-season rates from mid-May
through mid-December bring many luxury villas into everyday budgets or
permit couples to upgrade to a larger villa with an entertainment room,
private beach or pool, or other lavish amenities. And for honeymooners
concerned with blending their new families, those larger villas can be
a wonderful option, providing plenty of space for children and privacy
for the newlyweds.
. While the privacy and seclusion of a villa is perfect for most honeymooners, Anderson points out that its not right for everyone, and couples searching for more of a party atmosphere should look to a resort. Young honeymooners also need to remember that there are minimum age requirements for car rentals on many Caribbean islands; a rental car is a must for many villas that are located miles from town and often a distance from the beach.
