Through the years, a growing number of couples had started planning weddings during their Sandals stays. In 1994, the resorts issued a wedding invitation that changed the landscape of destination weddings. Sandals introduced WeddingMoons™, a wedding package that now has 10,000 couples a year combining their walks down the aisles with walks down the isles.

This movement has caught the attention of the wedding world as well and Sandals and Beaches have teamed up with a growing number of top industry leaders. Celebrity wedding planner Preston Bailey, who has orchestrated special events for celebrities ranging from Donald and Melania Trump to Oprah Winfrey, has partnered with the resorts to create special wedding packages. These offer guests the chance to experience all the drama and flair of a celebrity wedding in their own nuptials.

It’s a move that has proven popular with travelers. “I think the new Preston Bailey packages take Sandals to the next level,” notes travel agent Barry Posner of Ultra Vacations and Honeymoons. “They give people the opportunity to have a fancier wedding; it’s another added touch.”

Another wedding icon has also joined forces with Sandals and Beaches to create an exclusive line of wedding accessories. Beverly Clark, the author of Planning a Wedding to Remember (America's top-selling wedding planner), has created the WeddingMoonsTM Collection by Beverly Clark, featuring items for the ceremony, reception and wedding party gifts. Beverly’s creations, which have been used in the weddings of celebrities Elizabeth Taylor, Heather Locklear, Joely Fisher, and Kathy Najimy, now help elevate WeddingMoons to a star-studded level.

You don’t need to be a bride to take advantage of another partnership which illustrates the forward-thinking mindset of Sandals leadership. For true pampering, guests at certain suite levels at selected Sandals resorts can opt for butler service. Your own personal butler will be a graduate of the prestigious Guild of Professional English Butlers, the world’s premier trainer of butlers for five star hotels and the royal palaces of Great Britain. The butlers provide truly royal treatment with assistance that ranges from packing and unpacking to drawing a scented bath. “We have clients who want to be pampered and have never the chance to be treated that way,” notes Redondo Beach, California-based agent Posner. “All top hotels have concierge levels but not on this one-on-one level. Sandals is always moving forward and staying ahead.”
