Who: singer Rob Thomas of Matchbox Twenty and model Marisol Maldonado

When: October 2, 1999

Where: The couple said "I do" in an outdoor ceremony held on the grounds of Matchbox Twenty's manager's estate in Santa Ynez, California.

The Ceremony: After kissing Marisol for the first time, Rob Thomas swore he would never kiss another woman, and on a fall day in 1999 the singer made a public vow of fidelity to his musical muse, who walked down the aisle to Keith Richards'' "The Nearness of You." During the nondenominational service the groom placed two wedding bands on his loved one's finger -- a platinum band accented with diamonds and a diamond and sapphire ring.

The Dress: A former Victoria's Secret model, the bride's svelte frame provided the perfect showcase for Vera Wang's duchesse satin gown, designed with a low cut neckline and figure-hugging bodice which flowed into a billowing skirt with a chapel-length train. A long, diaphanous veil was attached to Marisol's brunette locks, styled in a sleek chignon. For a touch of color, the bride held a bouquet comprised of black beauty and red garden roses, with a sprinkling of red pepper berries to spice up the arrangement.

Vera Wang was also chosen to create the bridesmaid's full-length, dark grey gowns, while the groom opted for a classic black Gucci tuxedo paired with a black bow tie. A pair of gold hoop earrings, presented to him by his bride, added a personal note to the groom's appearance.

The Reception: A Wolfgang Puck feast which included roasted chicken with black truffles and a four-tiered wedding cake from Fantasy Frostings embellished with red rose petals awaited guests inside a tent erected for the occasion on the estate's tennis court. Surrounded by pink cherry trees illuminated by the glow of hundreds of candles which hovered from above on chandeliers, the newly declared husband and wife took to the dance floor for the Edwin McCain tune "I'll Be."

The Honeymoon: After the last guests left the soiree, clutching bags containing fifteen pewter stones emblazoned with the Japanese symbol for "loyalty" (a design which mirrors the bride and groom's matching tattoos), the newlyweds embarked on a Hawaiian honeymoon.
