Who: "American Idol" judge Paula Abdul and sportswear designer Brad Beckerman When: February
2, 1997 Where: The
Beverly Hills Four Seasons Hotel The Ceremony:
Even though the calendar announced that winter was still in
full force, event planner Colin Cowie created an autumnal ambiance
within a tent erected on the grounds of The Beverly Hills Four
Seasons Hotel, replete with a carpet of leaves sprinkled along
the path leading to a chuppa ablaze with red, orange and white
roses. Guests including singer Brandy, Rosie O'Donnell and Rod
Stewart with then-spouse Rachel Hunter witnessed the two lovebirds,
who had met on a blind date, exchange vows in a Jewish ceremony.
The Dress: Hollywood brides such as Carmen Electra, Alyson Hannigan and Tori Spelling have fallen in love with the creations of design team Badgley Mischka, and for her 1997 nuptials Paula chose a low-cut gown with just a hint of pink in the lace fabric, which brought the designers' elaborate beadwork to the forefront. The choreographer wore her brunette tresses in curls, which were gathered together in an upswept do to which a veil embellished with a patterned design was attached. As with any dancer, shoes are a top priority, and the entertainer walked down the aisle in white, high-heeled Italian silk satin shoes with a rounded toe and ankle straps by Peter Fox Shoes.
