Who: rock
icon Ozzy Osbourne and Sharon Osbourne When: December
31, 2002 Where: The
Beverly Hills Hotel in Beverly Hills, California The Ceremony: Traditionally, New Year's Eve is a time to reflect on the past
and make plans for the future. After a tumultuous year which
had driven home the poignancy of the words "for better
or for worse, in sickness and in health" rocker Ozzy Osbourne
and wife Sharon decided to mark a new chapter in their life
together with a vow renewal ceremony at The Beverly Hills Hotel,
a Tinseltown landmark which was once visited by lovebirds Clark
Gable and Carole Lombard, and frequented by Marilyn Monroe during
the filming of "Let's Make Love." Standing at the
altar alongside daughters Aimee and Kelly, who acted as bridesmaids,
and son Jack, the best man, the couple celebrated their twenty
years together in a Jewish ceremony witnessed by five hundred
guests. The Dress: For her return trip down the aisle, the reality star chose a
sophisticated frock from Les Habitudes, a boutique which has
catered to the fashion fantasies of stars the likes of Jennifer
Lopez and Beyonce. The ivory-colored, full-length coat dress
with three-quarter length sleeves buttoned at the waist, accenting
her petite frame. On the full skirt was fashioned a virtual
garden of white fabric roses, which harmonized with the small
spray of white blossoms interspersed with greenery which the
bride held at the altar. Pledging her eternal love to the self-proclaimed
"prince of darkness," Sharon adorned herself like
a princess with a diamond tiara from jeweler Harry Winston fastened
to her Titian locks, which complimented her diamond and pearl
necklace and earrings. The groom kept to his signature color,
wearing a black Armani suit for the occasion. The Reception: Lady Luck was with such celebrity guests as Justin Timberlake and Chris Rock as they played games of chance like roulette in the two opulent ballrooms of the famed hotel, which transformed for the night into a scaled-down version of Sin City. As guests dined on dishes ranging from sushi and lamb chops to fish and chips, entertainment was provided by burlesque queen (and fiancée of Marilyn Manson) Dita Von Teese, who performed a striptease to the appreciative crowd.
