Who: TV personality Melissa Rivers and horse breeder John Endicott

When: December 12, 1998

Where: The nuptials were held at The Plaza Hotel in New York City.

The Ceremony: The outstretched branches of one hundred white birch trees arched over the aisle as the bride made her entrance in The Terrace Room of The Plaza Hotel, where three hundred and fifty attendees witnessed the exchange of vows in a winter wonderland filled with 25,000 white roses, hydrangeas and lily of the valley.

The Dress: In accordance with the Russian royalty motif of the event, the bride donned a regal Vera Wang creation composed of ivory duchesse satin and velvet which was richly adorned with ornate gold embroidery and Swarovski crystals. A billowing ball gown skirt, to which a train emblazoned with the groom's family crest was attached, gently brushed the aisle as Melissa walked to her intended. To further accentuate the wintry ambiance, the bride carried a sable muff along with her nosegay of Black Magic roses.

Considered the queen of the red carpet, the mother of the bride was equally majestic in a Randolph Duke champagne-colored silk coat with sable trim, which she set aside to reveal a gown in a matching hue which was lavishly embellished with gold and silver beadwork.

The bride once again turned to designer Vera Wang to concoct nine vivid red bridesmaid's dresses with wraps of scarlet velvet.

The Reception: Footmen garbed in 19th century French regalia greeted guests such as Regis Philbin and his wife Joy, daytime diva Susan Lucci, Kathy Lee Gifford and Larry Hagman as they approached the entrance to the Plaza's ballroom, where the newlyweds took to the dancefloor as the band played the nostalgic Gladys Knight and The Pips tune, "Best Thing That Ever Happened To Me." Guests dined on Black Angus beef, lobster and slices of a five-tiered carrot wedding cake created by Sylvia Weinstock before bidding goodbye to the bride and groom, who were to embark on a honeymoon in the Grenadines.
