Courteney Cox and actor David Arquette
Who:
"Friends" star Courteney Cox and actor David Arquette
When: June 12, 1999
Where: San Francisco's Grace Cathedral, a house of worship known
for its interior and exterior labyrinths.
The Ceremony: The bride's fellow 'Friends" castmates
and actors Brad Pitt, Nicolas Cage, and Kevin Spacey were among
the two hundred and fifty guests to witness the grand entrance of the
bride as she entered the cathedral to the Paul McCartney penned song "Maybe
I'm Amazed".
The Dress: The two soul mates chose the work of fashion designer Valentino
for their wedding attire. The bride's sleek, long-sleeved white gown was
the essence of elegant simplicity, and its decolletage accented a
wedding present from the groom-- an antique diamond necklace. David
Arquette opted for a stylish morning coat, and added a dash of color
with a deep red rose, identical to those in the bridal bouquet, for
a boutonniere.
The Reception: Reflecting the duo's love of laughter, impersonators
of 1950's comedic husband-and-wife team Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz
were on hand for the festivities at a nightclub near Fisherman's Wharf,
where guests dined on lobster and steak.
The Honeymoon: Variety is the spice of life for these newlyweds.
While a portion of their romantic getaway was spent relaxing on a beach
in the Caribbean, the other half was enjoyed riding the roller coasters
at Disney World and Islands of Adventure.
Special Touches: The comedic couple displayed their playful
side by posing in Halloween costumes for the photo used on their wedding
invitations.
