Amy Acker and James Carpinello
Who:
"Angel"
star Amy Acker and actor James Carpinello
When: April
25, 2003
Where: Hans Fahden Vineyard in Napa Valley, California
The Ceremony: As if on cue, a storm departed and the
sun broke through only moments before the ceremony commenced.
Inclement weather had lingered for days and brought about a
change in plans from the wedding's original garden locale. Event
planner Sasha Souza ordered a tent with see-through
sides erected on the site and brought touches of nature indoors
with decorations of ivy, moss, an abundance of roses, and
even a garden gate.
The Dress: Amy Acker's gown was a white, body-conscious
silhouette with a plunging V-neck and low-cut back by designer
Reva Mivasagar. The bride's brunette tresses were gathered in
an upswept hairdo and adorned with red roses for an added touch
of glamour. Roses of the same hue were sprinkled with crystals
and added along with chocolate cosmos to create the
bridal bouquet. The groom opted for a stylish black Armani suit
for the occasion.
The Reception: Sixty-five guests, including the bride's
"Angel" colleague Alexis
Denisof and "Buffy" star Alyson
Hannigan, who would celebrate their own nuptials only months
later, enjoyed a repast of beef tenderloin and duck provided
by Alex's Catering of Vallejo, California, along with wine
supplied by Hans Fahden Vineyard. A triple-layered, white wedding
cake, created by Perfect Endings, echoed the refined simplicity
of the bride's gown, and was garnished with the ruby-red roses
which were a reoccurring motif throughout the event.
Special Moments: The intimate occasion was a celebration
of family and the bride, wearing both of her grandmother's diamond
rings, danced with her father to the tune of "My Girl",
which was sung by her new husband.
