Where: Vows were exchanged at an outdoor ceremony held on a private estate by Lake Tahoe, which lies on the border of Nevada and California.

The Ceremony: The silvered surface of Lake Tahoe mirrored the 135 guests gathered to witness the actress and the lead singer of S.T.U.N. who, after an eight year courtship, stood unshod on the shore, declaring their love for each other. During the ceremony the groom slipped on to his bride's finger a wedding band which rests alongside an emerald-cut diamond engagement ring from Alan Friedman.

The Dress: The bride's love of nature was reflected in a sand-colored gown (rumored to have been created by top British designer and fellow animal-rights activist Stella McCartney) whose train blended with the hue of the beach which embraces the second deepest lake in the United States. For a splash of color a green sash, harmonizing with the verdant beauty of the Ponderosa pines and cedar trees which grace the area, was added to the ensemble.

The Reception: No songwriters have ever been able to capture jubilant emotions quite as effectively as the legendary team of John Lennon and Paul McCartney, and as the midnight hour approached the mingled voices of the newlyweds and their friends echoed in the trees as they sang Beatles tunes around a roaring campfire which illuminated the all vegan cuisine served at the festivities, including veggie burgers and a vegetarian wedding cake.
