Eddie George, Tamara Johnson Wedding

Where: After a five-year courtship, the couple dedicated their lives to one another with a recitation of self-penned vows at the Rockleigh Country Club in Rockleigh, New Jersey.

The Ceremony: Although two chapels stand on the 12 acre grounds of the Rockleigh Country Club, the couple chose nature as their cathedral, declaring their devotion in the estate's garden. As the ceremony commenced a gentle breeze parted the pink curtains which separated the bride from the 400 guests in attendance, and Tamara began her walk down an aisle draped in blushing pink fabric as the sonorous voice of India.Arie singing "Beautiful Surprise" drifted in the perfumed air.

Clusters of peonies adorned the stage where the football player presented his bride with a wedding band to accompany a five carat engagement ring, and before the minister pronounced the couple husband and wife Tamara draped over the neck of the groom's young son a necklace, upon which dangled a small ring-- a symbol of the ties that bind this new family together.

The Dress: Vera Wang, the queen of celebrity bridal attire, created a white strapless gown embellished with beadwork across the form-fitting bodice, which flowed into a bouffant skirt constructed of tulle. A diaphanous veil attached to a dainty tiara completed the sophisticated look.

Two young flower girls in matching white dresses clutched in their tiny hands, which were covered with white, opera-length gloves, pale pink purses containing rose petals, while two older girls walked to the altar in pink garments. All of the cherubic children donned crescent headpieces in their hair, which was gathered together in loose curls for the occasion.

The gallant groom was decked out in an indigo silk tux designed by Eddie George's personal tailor, Randolph Williamson.

The Reception: Before embarking on their Italian honeymoon, the newlyweds dined with their guests in one of the venue's two ballrooms, the champagne flutes which rested upon dusky pink tablecloths reflecting the sparkle of the crystal chandeliers which dangled overhead.
