The Dress:
Shaunie Nelson was garbed in a shimmer of silver and her attendants
in strapless gowns of the same hue by the brother and sister team
of Henry and Michelle Roth, who were taught from an early age
to appreciate the beauty and craftsmanship of bridal gowns from
their parents, who were both clothing designers. The two have
collaborated on a book entitled "Your Day, Your Way",
a bridal planner filled with the nuptial knowledge the designers
have accumulated over time.
Event Planner:
The basketball star chose event planner to the stars Mindy
Weiss to help in the creation of a winter-influenced wedding and
reception. Mindy Weiss has worked with such celebrities as Jessica
Simpson and Nick Lachey and Lucy Lawless and Rob Tapert in the
past, and today she has made available The Ultimate Wedding Organizer,
so all couples can benefit from her expertise.
Groom's Attire: Shaquille O'Neal has a style all his own, and Chicago designer Lamar Gayles from Phenomenal Designs by Lamar, who has clothed the 7 ft. 1 inch-tall basketball legend for years, knew that the three-quarter length black jacket with satin piping would reflect Shaq's unique personality. Groomsmen attire was also provided by the clothing company.
Parting Gift: As
a way to say "thank you for sharing in our happiness,"
the bride and groom presented their guests with peach pies from
Mommie Helen's Bakery.
The Rings:
A seventeen carat diamond upon a white gold band designed by Universal
Jewelers was presented to the bride at the altar.
