Bridal Bouquet
Preservation: Sophie Rhys-Jones' waterfall bouquet of ivory
roses, lily of the valley and ivory freesia now rests upon fabric
from her wedding attire in a three-dimensional frame by Precious
Petals. The company can preserve delicate bridal blossoms from
weddings held in the UK by pressing or by utilizing the method
chosen by The Countess of Wessex.
Cakes: Sarah
Ferguson's confectionary masterpiece was provided by Dave MacCarfrae
of David Cakes of Distinction.
Catering: Edward
and Sophie's post-nuptial soiree was catered by "Rhubarb"
Food Design, whose services are available for fashionable events
throughout England and Scotland.
Engagement Rings:
The world was captivated by the beauty of the sapphire, ruby
and diamond engagement rings worn by The Princess of Wales, The
Duchess of York and The Countess of Wessex . Each symbol of love
was purchased from royal jewelers Asprey & Garrard, which
has now branched out into two distinct companies. Garrard carries
a wide range of regal ornamentation at its four locations-- London,
New York, Dubai and Tokyo.
Cosmetics:
Every bride strives to achieve the porcelain skin of the late
Princess Diana. Barbara Day, the makeup artist responsible for
The Princess of Wales' radiant look on her wedding day has launched
a cosmetics line sold exclusively at Tesco, and offers her beauty
tips in the video "Face To Face With Barbara Daly".
Shoes: Every
bride should feel like royalty on their wedding day, and what
better way than by donning a pair of CInderella slippers fashioned
by Baboucha Shoes, a company that shod the feet of Princess Diana,
Sarah Ferguson and her bridesmaids, and helped Sophie Rhys Jones
avoid a ceremonial catastrophy by re-covering her peach-colored
wedding shoes in an ivory fabric the day before she said "I
do." The company, a favorite among such A-list celebrities
as Charlize Theron, Uma Therman and Nicole Kidman, offers a range
of men's, bride's and bridesmaid's shoes, handbags, and an online
bargain bin for cost-conscious couples.
Christened after 1950's screen siren Gina Lollobrigida, Gina shoes carried the future Countess of Wessex down the aisle of St. George's Chapel. The creations of this husband and wife duo are must haves for songbirds Jennifer Lopez and Mariah Carey, to name just a few of Hollywood's elite who have shopped at one of the company's two London boutiques.
Wedding Dresses:
Preliminary sketches of Princess Diana's wedding dress can be
found on Elizabeth Emanuel's website. One half of the former husband
and wife David and Elizabeth Emanuel design team, this fashion
guru has now launched her own, gothic-tinged clothing line, which
boasts such celebrated clientele as Elizabeth Taylor, Drew Barrymore,
Enya, Jane Seymour and Helena Bonham-Carter.
Working for British
Vogue magazine helped to train the eye of designer Lindka Cierach,
a graduate of the London College of Fashion who launched her own
clothing business in 1978. The creator of Sarah Ferguson's wedding
ensemble offers a line of bridal, evening and cocktail dresses.
