The Wedding of Melissa Joan Hart & Mark Wilkerson
The Dress:
Melissa's bewitching bridal attire, a strapless ivory silk ballgown
with couple's initials meticulously embroidered in gold thread
on the veil, was concocted by designer
Reem Acra [see how to buy a Reem Acra dress on eBay],
who would later concoct a silk tulle gown for Star Jones.
Hair: Melissa's
blonde tresses were styled in a romantic arrangement by hairdresser
to the stars Laurent Du Fourg, who has cut the coifs of such A-list
celebrities as Johnny Depp, Gwyneth Paltrow and Debra
Messing. The stylist's chain of world-renown Prive Salons
are located in Los Angeles, New York's SoHo Grand Hotel and W
Hotel in Seoul, Korea, and his Laurent D. brand of haircare products,
including Texturizer Plus, Sculpteur, and pomade, spray and gel
can be purchased online.
Jewelry: The
designs of jeweler Erica Courtney cast a spell over TV's "Sabrina,"
and the actress requested that she fashion not only the couple's
platinum wedding bands, (the bride's ring was embellished with
baguette diamonds), but also the rest of her wedding accoutrements,
including a diamond tiara and a necklace with a drop pendant in
the shape of the bride and groom's initials. This LA-based designer
counts Hollywood royalty such as Elizabeth Taylor, Julia Roberts,
Alyssa Milano and Brittany Murphy among her clientele.
Shoes: Like
Paula Abdul
before her, Melissa Joan Hart chose to walk down the aisle in
a pair of Peter Fox shoes. The company, whose footwear has been
seen in such blockbuster movies as Titanic, Chicago, Harry Potter
and Runaway Bride, still offers the style of slipper chosen by
Melissa-- the "Alicia", a high-heeled shoe composed
of white Italian silk satin.
Wedding Planner: Event planner extraordinaire Jackson Lowell, who prepared the atmsphere for Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston's nuptials, created a Florentine fairytale wedding for the actress and her husband. Lowell often offered his expert opinion on TLC's "For Better or For Worse". |
