The Britney Spears and Kevin Federline Wedding
Bridesmaids Gifts: Gwyneth Paltrow and Halle Berry are just two of Hollywood's leading
ladies who have been spotted with products by Bolsa, a company
which offers a wide range of handbags, pet carriers and diaper
bags. For her attendants, Britney chose a bag that combined masculine
and feminine elements with its camouflage design paired with baby
pink handles. To further personalize her gift, the Hebraic word
for "the power to heal" was inscribed on the side of
the tote.
Both Britney's attendants
and Kevin's supporters changed into sweats by Juicy Couture after
the nuptials-- girls in pink and guys in white with the words
"The Maids" and "Pimps" emblazoned across
the back. Juicy Couture, worn by today's top celebrities, also
offers a range of handbags, jewelry and shoes. The Cake: Supplied
by Perfect Endings, a two-tiered white chocolate butter wedding
cake adorned with sugar flowers provided a sweet start to Britney
and Kevin's marriage. This prominent Napa Valley company, whose
confections are often featured in "InStyle Weddings"
and "Elegant Bride," also concocted the five-tiered
wedding cake seen on "Newlyweds."
The Dress: A red carpet favorite, Monique Lhuillier's creations have been
showcased on the forms of such A-list lovelies as "Desperate
Housewives" star Teri Hatcher, Christina Aguilera and Diane
Lane, and her wedding gowns have accompanied Kevin Costner's wife
Christine Baumgartner, Natalie Imbruglia, and former "Baywatch"
actress Gena Lee Nolin down the aisle. Britney chose two Monique
Lhuillier dresses for her special day-- a traditional strapless
silk creation for the 15-minute ceremony, and a daring lace minidress
for the reception.
The Flowers:
A warm palette of roses ranging from pink to deep crimson draped
the arbor which framed the bride and groom as they pledged their
love to one another. The kaleidoscopic blaze was composed by Mark
Held of Mark's Garden, an L.A.-based company whose botanical beauties
provided a floral fantasy for the weddings of such stars as Gwen
Stefani, Jessica Simpson and Adam Sandler. Brides in the continental
US can add a touch of Hollywood glamour to their nuptials with
flowers ordered online from this California-based company.
The Food: Although
Britney may savor the bright lights of Hollywood, she is still
a Louisiana girl at heart. For the reception, the pop princess
requested chicken fingers, mashed potatoes and Louisiana crab
cakes from Catering By Field, which has provided culinary creations
for private parties and corporate get togethers since 1991.
Invitations: One
hundred ornate wedding invitations, embossed with the date of
the originally scheduled October nuptials, were created by Lehr
& Black, an L.A.-based company that also provided announcements
for Trista and Ryan's wedding and Bennifer's canceled ceremony
during their 30 years in business.
Jewelry: From
the ruby necklaces which harmonized with the bridesmaids claret-colored
gowns to the bride's engagement ring, the adornments worn by the
Spears/Federline wedding party were developed by Cynthia Wolff.
The groom was so enamoured with the designer's artistry that he
purchased a second engagement ring to grace his wife's finger
nine months after the nuptials.
Lizzie Scheck began
a fashion sensation when her horseshoe pendant was worn by Sarah
Jessica Parker on "Sex and The City," and today her
designs accentuate the beauty of such top stars as Mary-Kate and
Ashley Olsen and Paula Abdul. After the wedding ceremony, Britney
donned a pearl and diamond necklace from the designer featuring
the symbol for infinity and the initials B and K, which dangled
from the clasp.
Pre-wedding Preparations:
Every bride needs an oasis where she can momentarily escape the
stress that wedding preparations can produce. Hours before the
big event, Britney and her bridal party relaxed with a trip to
the Burke Williams Spa, which offers a variety of treatments to
rejuvenate both body and spirit, including reike, reflexology
and oxygen facials. The spa is soon to introduce online shopping.
Shoes: Britney
walked toward her intended in a pair of Sergio Rossi sandals constructed
with delicate silver straps, stiletto heels and topped with a
cluster of diamonds and pearls in a flower arrangement.
Wedding Coordinators:
Britney's fans know of her strong bond with her mother, Lynn.
Perhaps a familial connection attracted her to the mother/daughter
team of Diane Levine and Alyson Fox of Levine Fox Events, who
have orchestrated Southern California's most sophisticated soirees
since 1997.
