Designing Kimberly Buffington's Engagement RingPersonal friends to both Anthony and Nak, Kimberly & Dennis knew that when the time came to get married there were no other jewelry designers that were more able to capture the essence of their love. "I am thrilled that Anthony and Nak have agreed to design our rings," says Buffington, "Dennis bought the diamond for me in Africa while filming a movie, so it is very sentimental to me and I feel the boys are the only designers I would trust with this special project." After having a long dinner with Dennis and Kimberly in Austin, Anthony and Nak knew right away what they were going to design. "We are elated that Dennis and Kimberly asked us to design their rings," says Nak Armstrong, "we are touched that they trust us with something this sacred." "The reason I chose Nak and Anthony to design Kimberly's engagement ring and our wedding bands," says Dennis Quaid, "is that I think that they are the new wave of jewelry designers; cool, funky, yet extremely classic."Engagement Ring For the engagement ring, they took the 3 carat canary yellow trilliant- cut diamond that Dennis bought in Africa and set it in platinum with white diamonds micro pave'd on the band and prongs. The wedding band is the exact replica of the engagement ring band. Dennis Quaid's Wedding Band As for Dennis, Anthony and Nak wanted his wedding band to be special and unique, not the typical men's wedding band. They designed a Platinum band in matte finish and discreetly set inside Dennis' ring will be a trilliant cut canary diamond, a miniature mate to Kimberly's stone and a private reminder of their commitment. Nak Armstrong adds, "We felt this was the perfect way to symbolize their union while providing Dennis with a stone of his own." |
