Desmond
Tutu Renews Vows in South Africa
July 2005--The voice of
the Reverend Mpho Tutu, daughter of Archbishop Desmond Tutu and his
wife Leah, echoed in the interior of the Holy Cross Church, the Orlando
West, Soweto house of worship where the Archbishop once conducted services,
as she performed the vow renewal ceremony of her parents on July 2,
2005.
Nelson Mandela was among
the guests who witnessed the two-hour celebration of the couple's golden
wedding anniversary, during which the Nobel Prize recipient and his
bride of 50 years exchanged rings and declared their undying love for
one another.
