Tom Cruise Proposes to Katie Holmes at the Eiffel Tower

June 2005--12:30 A.M. June 17, 2005 marked the birth of a new day in Paris, France and the beginning of a new life together for Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. Hollywood's top star proposed to his lady love by candlelight in the Jules Verne restaurant, an elegant eatery located on the second floor of the Eiffel Tower. The couple, dubbed TomKat by the media, have not announced a wedding date.
