Olympic Skater to Wed Comedian
Friday the 13th turned out to be a lucky day for former
Olympic skater Tai Babilonia, who accepted comedian David Brenner's
proposal of marriage on that date. The couple, who have been an item
since October 2003, have yet to set a wedding date.
Supergrass & Pearl Lowe Engagement
After a 10-year romance, Supergrass drummer Danny Goffey
and designer Pearl Lowe have decided to make their union official with
a wedding scheduled to be held in the English countryside this summer.
Six Feet Under Proposal
Eric Balfour ("Six Feet Under") has announced
his intention to wed actress Moon Bloodgood in 2006. The actor popped
the question on April 24, 2005.
Rod Stewart's Eiffel Tower Proposal
Rod Stewart has poured his heart out in a string of hit
singles over the years, so it comes as no surprise that the singer orchestrated
a grand romantic gesture when it came time to propose to his long time
love, Penny Lancaster. Standing atop The Eiffel Tower, the rocker bent
down on one knee, slipping a Princess cut diamond ring on his paramour's
finger. While plans have not been finalized, the pair intend to wed
before the end of 2005. According to the rocker, he "left it this
long because I wanted to get it right this time. I've never been happier
and more in love than I am today."
Hanson Wedding in 2006
Hanson's youngest member Zac Hanson announced his upcoming
nuptials during an interview for a South American television program.
The nineteen year old drummer, who provided the backbeat for 1997's
catchiest tune-- "MMMBop," will wed girlfriend Kathryn Tucker
in June 2006.
New Zealand Proposal for Actress
After a seven-month courtship, actor Jonathan Silverman
("Weekend At Bernie's") popped the question to Daytime Emmy-award
winning actress Jennifer Finnigan ("The Bold and The Beautiful",
NBC sitcom "Committed") during a Christmas vacation in New
Zealand. A wedding date has not been announced.
Flea to Marry
Flea (aka Michael Peter Balzary), bassist for The Red
Hot Chili Peppers, has asked model Frankie Rayder (who was seen by movie
buffs in the comedy Zoolander) for her hand in marriage. A wedding
date has not been announced.
