112408: George Clooney in Roswell

Ever since the iconic incident on July 7, 1947, Roswell, New Mexico has been linked to the possibility of visitors from outer space. For three days in mid-November 2008, however, the town was visited by a heavenly Hollywood body as George Clooney arrived to shoot scenes for his forthcoming flick Men Who Stare at Goats.

Living up to the school motto of "Duty, Honor and Achievement," the cast and crew worked diligently during filming at the New Mexico Military Institute, a venue accustomed to the site of A-listers, having been the alma mater of actor Owen Wilson, football legend Roger Staubach and socialite Conrad Hilton Jr., among others.

People magazine's former Sexiest Man Alive showed up on set after completing scenes days earlier at the Harwood Museum in Albuquerque, OnLocationVacations.com reports.

80908: Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber Enjoy Vacation with George Clooney

Drifting aboard a yacht christened Silver, top star tourists George Clooney, Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber bronzed their bodies in a quest for the perfect Saint-Tropez tan during their early August getaway to the Mediterranean. While Gorgeous George has been content to lounge on the luxury cruiser, the supermodel and her entrepreneur husband, who celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary in May 2008, have been enjoying a few aquatic activities including jet-skiing and swimming, according to People magazine online.

Its beauty beckoning to Hollywood's elite each summer, the citizens of Saint-Tropez have become accustomed to star sightings. In 1971, the bells of the seaside town's Chapel of St. Anne rang out the news that Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger had married Bianca Perez Morena de Macias, while in 2006 former Baywatch beauty Pamela Anderson pledged her love to Kid Rock aboard a yacht which bobbed in the Mediterranean's azure waters.

Setting sail once again, the three paparazzi magnets are currently soaking up the sun in Porto Cervo, the Italian resort village which recently welcomed vacationing vision Heidi Klum, hubby Seal and their kids after their stay in Rome, Popsugar.com reports.

51308: Celebrities Shine at Super Hero Soiree

Superstars of both the silver and small screens gathered at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on May 5, 2008 for a soiree saluting the stylish silhouette of super heroes. Co-chaired by George Clooney, who once donned Batman's brooding black mantle, and Julia Roberts, the Met rolled out the red carpet for a phalanx of fashion-savvy stars, including newlywed Beyonce, who looked the part of a blushing bride in a pale pink Armani Prive gown, while the tulle skirt of newly engaged Scarlett Johansson's Dolce & Gabbana design was reminiscent of a bridal veil.

A bevy of Hollywood beauties in black brought drama to the red carpet, including Gossip Girl's Blake Lively, who looked glamorous in a Ralph Lauren garment; Claire Danes, who had slipped into a Narciso Rodriguez design and Rachel Bilson, who opted for a Calvin Klein creation, People magazine online reported. Representing the opposite end of the color spectrum, Naomi Watts wowed the crowd in a white wardrobe choice by Thierry Mugler and Victoria Beckham was an alabaster vision in Armani, while Jennifer Connelly's black and white Balenciaga ensemble struck a harmonious balance between the two contrasting hues.

Before joining the flock of fashionistas getting a sneak peek at the clothing of costumed crime fighters, a number of notables posed for photographers in gowns which rivaled the saturated shades of comic book panels, including country crooner Taylor Swift, who glowed in a gold Badgley Mischka gown and Eva Longoria, who wore an aubergine Marchesa masterpiece to the opulent event.

Fans can follow in the steps of their favorite stars and visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy exhibition, which is on display on the first floor of the special exhibition galleries, from May 7 - September 1, 2008.
