After three decades of devotion, including an October 2011 “I do,” romance still takes center stage in the lives of rock n’ roll romantic Gene Simmons and his wife Shannon Tweed, who recently marked another chapter in their continuing love story with a vow renewal ceremony.
Taking place at Haiku Mill on the Hawaiian island of Maui, thousands of vividly-hued wild orchids and crystal chandeliers flown in from Las Vegas thanks to wedding planner Yoshi Nojiri added an extra touch of fantasy to the French Versailles-inspired garden as the bride made her grand entrance in a Badgley Mischka wedding dress.
Making the event a family affair, after the nuptials the stars of the reality TV docu-series Gene Simmons Family Jewels jammed together on stage at a reception catered by Sugar Beach Events of Hawaii, with the rock god groom playing bass and the couple’s son and daughter at the mic, crooning classic rock and jazz tunes.
The happy occasion will be part of the upcoming documentary The Ultimate Wedding Planner.
