Their love for each other is priceless, but the August 27, 2011 wedding celebration of F1 heiress Petra Ecclestone and James Stunt cost the couple £5 million. Making every moment– and every penny– count, a white Rolls Royce whisked the bride and her famous father Bernie Ecclestone to the “I do” destination– Odescalchi Castle, a medieval masterpiece in Bracciano, Italy which previous played a role in the ceremony of stars Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes.
Paris Hilton, Sarah Ferguson The Duchess of York and Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie were among the glitterati who gathered in the castle garden for the hour-long sunset ceremony which began with the bride’s grand entrance in an £80,000 Vera Wang creation, its beauty complemented by a diamond tiara.
According to The Daily Mail, members of The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra provided the ceremony’s soundtrack, with the hymns “Dear Lord and Father of Mankind,” “All Things Bright and Beautiful” and the reverential refrains of “Jerusalem” setting a memorable mood of sublime joy. The service concluded with Andrea Bocelli’s renditions of his signature song “Time to Say Goodbye” and Elvis Presley’s “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” which rang out out in the night air as the newlyweds exited the garden and headed for the reception, where performances by Eric Clapton and The Black Eyed Peas were followed by fireworks which ended the fairytale-style occasion.
