Wedded bliss is the new reality for reality star Kim Kardashian, who said “I do” to basketball player Kris Humphries on August 20, 2011.
According to E! online, 450 family members and friends– including E! News host Ryan Seacrest with Julianne Hough, Demi Lovato, LaLa Vazquez and Carmelo Anthony- gathered at a Montecito, California estate for the early evening ceremony, which began at 6:37 p.m with a walk down the aisle by bridesmaids Kylie and Kendal Jenner and Kaela Humphries (the sister of the groom) and Khloe Kardashian-Odom and Kourtney Kardashian in the respective roles of matron of honor and maid of honor.
Escorted by Bruce Jenner, the bride– clutching a bouquet of white roses– strolled past guests in a pair of Guiseppe Zanotti shoes which peeked out from beneath the tulle skirt of her strapless ivory Vera Wang creation– an ethereal look enhanced by a the joyful twinkle of a diamond-studded hairpiece and diaphanous veil.
During the half-hour ceremony the groom– who donned a white Ermenegildo Zegna jacket for the occasion– slipped a wedding band on his bride’s finger to accompany the 20.5-carat diamond Lorraine Schwartz engagement ring the star has sported since their May 18, 2011 betrothal.
Following the nuptials, the newlyweds joined their guests for a reception which included a first dance to “Angels,” as performed by Grammy winner Robin Thicke, and a repast prepared by celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck, People magazine reports.
Although further details are a cherished secret for the moment, fans will feel like virtual witnesses to the wedding when an E! News special airs August 21st at 6 p.m. ET. People magazine will unveil photos in their September 5th issue, and all the marital moments will be revealed in the two-part E! special Kim’s Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event, airing October 9th and 10th.
