Over the course of her career Kate Moss has been a commanding presence on countless catwalks, and on July 1, 2011 the supermodel took center stage once again as she strolled down an aisle which led not to the flash of cameras but rather to the beaming smile of the man she loves as she made her way to the altar of St. Peter’s Church in Southrop as the bride of rocker Jamie Hince.
Accompanied by 14 bridesmaids dressed in cherubic white chiffon dresses and ballerina slippers and a maid of honor in a sky blue Stella McCartney silhouette, the fashionista who ushered in the era of the waif modeled her John Galliano wedding dress as she walked in a pair of Manolo Blahniks past family members and friends, including Kelly Osbourne, Jude Law, Sadie Frost and Stella McCartney.
Reaching back to the romance of the past, the style-savvy bride was a vintage vision in a 1920’s-inspired look for her special day. Rhinestones and gold leaf embroidery clung to the gown’s cream-colored fabric, while a diaphanous cap veil featured dainty fabric flowers to frame her photogenic face, the Daily Mail revealed.
Following the ceremony, the newly dubbed Mrs. was in her element as she posed for photographers outside the church with her husband, who had chosen a robin’s egg blue suit by Stefano Pilati for YSL for the occasion.
As home is where the heart is, the happy couple returned to Moss’s residence in The Cotswolds to begin married life with a three-day soiree which has been dubbed by the press as Mosstock.
