Lily Allen, who rose to the top of the UK charts with her single “Smile,” was a beaming bride on June 11, 2011 when she arrived at St. James the Great Church in Cranham, Gloucestershire, England to say “I do” to Sam Cooper.
An entertainer whose passion for fashions of the past is reflected in her own Lucy In Disguise clothing line, Lily Allen stayed true to her love of nostalgic numbers in her choice of wedding wear– a vintage-inspired vision from French designer Delphine Manivet which includes lavish lace detailing and a wedding veil complemented by fabric flowers which framed the singer’s face in a nod to a style favored by brides in the 1920’s.
Well-wishers who flocked outside the house of worship were awarded with a glimpse of junior attendants in cherubic white frocks and bridesmaids in peach-hued gowns as the chime of church bells escorted the bride and her father, actor Keith Allen, into the house of worship.
The ceremony marked the start of a happily ever after for the happy couple, who became betrothed in Bali during the Christmas 2010 holidays.
