At his audition for America’s Got Talent, ventriloquist Terry Fator’s puppet crooned Etta James’s romantic tune “At Last,” and in the words of the popular wedding day favorite, the entertainer’s love has come along. On November 3, 2010 the season two winner of the NBC reality series spoke in his true voice when he said “I do” to the stagehand who has become his soul mate, Taylor Makakoa.
According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the performer at The Mirage pledged his devotion in an intimate ceremony held at the Lily of the Valley Chapel in Las Vegas. The couple’s walk down the aisle was preceded by a walk down the beach at Haleiwa on Oahu’s North Shore on October 17, 2010, when the entertainer knelt on one knee and asked for his love’s hand in marriage with a four-carat vintage ring which he had tucked away inside a seashell.
Continuing to celebrate their new status as husband and wife, the newlyweds will once again exchange vows in a traditional Hawaiian ceremony in the near future.
