The performer who took The Diary of Alicia Keys to number one on the Billboard album chart in 2004 had a happy occasion to jot down in her journal on July 31, 2010, as the multi-Grammy Award winner said “I do” to record producer Swizz Beatz.
Their love story, which began in the fall of 2008, took the pair on a path which led to a May 2010 engagement and ultimately to a walk down the aisle on the French island of Corsica.
Although “I do” details are currently a cherished secret held only by a privileged few, including guests Queen Latifah and U2 frontman Bono, E! online reports that the bride was a vision in a one-shoulder silhouette paired with a regal headband and a bouquet of calla lilies and ivy which added to the ensemble’s ethereal effect. The groom (real name: Kasseem Dean) donned black trousers and a white jacket, adding a salmon- hued shirt for a splash of color.
Making the ceremony a family affair, the couple– who are expecting a bundle of joy in November– shared the day with the groom’s son, Prince Nasir Deen.
