Country crossover cutie Carrie Underwood has a new “Last Name.” On July 10, 2010, the multi-Grammy Award winner pledged her love to NHL player Mike Fisher of the Ottawa Senators beneath a tent on the grounds of the Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation in Greeensboro, Georgia.
According to E! online, more than 250 guests– including country music power pair Tim McGraw and Faith Hill-looked on as bridesmaids in Monique Lhuillier creations walk down the aisle before they rose in honor of the bride as she made her grand entrance in a chantilly lace wedding dress from the same designer. During the ceremony, the bride received a wedding band to accompany the yellow diamond Johnathan Arndt engagement ring that has graced her left hand since December 2009.
Wanting their special moment to be a sacred memory to be shared at the time with family and friends, security kept reporters and photographers at bay. Although fans may have to wait to see if Ace– the singer’s beloved Rat Terrier– took on the role of ring bearer, as the chart-topping bride had hinted might happen when she talked to reporters earlier in the year, the happy couple have already unveiled a few “I do” details, such as the inclusion of classical music and readings of cherished Bible verses during the ceremony.
