Although the final rose she received from beau Jason Mesnick on The Bachelor turned out to have thorns, Melissa Rycroft’s disappointment at the outcome of her reality romance led her on a path to the promise of a bridal bouquet from her true Prince Charming– Tye Strickland, who became her husband on December 12, 2009.
According to US magazine, four bridesmaids in salmon pink dresses filed past the gathering of family and friends before the barefoot bride, a former Dancing with The Stars competitor, waltzed down the aisle (figuratively speaking) on her father’s arm in a gown from Alfred Angelo as the sun began to sink beneath the horizon in Isla Mujeres, Mexico.
The nuptials, which ended the triumphant tune of the Monday Night Football theme in a nostalgic nod to the bride’s days as a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader, was the fruition of a love which prompted a proposal on June 26, 2009 at White’s Chapel in Southlake, Texas.
In the following Good Morning America clip, Melissa Rycroft gives viewers a closer look at some Alfred Angelo bridal attire:
