Zooey Deschanel Marries Death Cab for Cutie Frontman

(500) Days of Summer star Zooey Deschanel, who walked down the yellow brick road in the SyFy Channel’s futuristic retelling of The Wizard of Oz, strolled down the aisle at a site near Seattle on September 19,2009. During the nighttime ceremony, People magazine reports that the bride received a wedding band to accompany the 3-carat diamond and platinum Neil Lane engagement ring she received in late 2008 from Ben Gibbard, the frontman for Death Cab for Cutie, whose song “Meet Me on the Equinox” will appear on the soundtrack to New Moon.
A low-key couple, the newlyweds are currently keeping the details of their I do’s a cherished secret.
