Brazilian athlete Roberto Carlos may be considered among the top 125 greatest footballers living today, but the soccer star holds the number one spot in the heart of his bride, Mariana Lucon. His happiness apparent to all in attendance, the wingman for Turkey’s Fenerbahçe team showed off a few soccer moves for reporters on June 13, 2009 after saying “I do” to the physiotherapist in the presence of 600 guests– including singer Alexandre Pires and fellow footballer Juninho Paulista– who had gathered at Terraço Daslu in São Paulo to witness the happy occasion.
According to Midracon News, the bride walked down the aisle in a strapless creation by Manuel Motta, which was paired with a lace-edged veil. Tucking a white bloom into his jacket’s lapel, the groom looked dapper in a dark suit by Camargo Alfaiataria.
After sampling sugar rose-covered mini-cakes at the reception, the newlyweds spent their first night together as husband and wife in a suite at the WTC Sheraton Hotel in São Paulo before embarking on an excursion to a Brazilian resort and a trip to Dubai.
