Although it’s long been a day designated for the celebration of love, for Pauley Perrette Valentine’s Day will always hold a special significance as February 14, 2009 marks the date the actress said “I do” to her love since 2005, cameraman Michael Bosman.
Keeping the news of their nuptials a cherished secret for several weeks, the bride– best known to television viewers as forensic scientist Abby Sciuto on the CBS series NCIS— recently divulged details of the ceremony to Entertainment Tonight.
After friends, family and the bride’s cast mates filled the pews which line the Hollywood United Methodist Church, Perrette made her grand entrance to the sound of a violin. A vintage vision in a cream-colored thrift store find purchased for $20, she walked down the aisle of the English Gothic Revival-style house of worship toward her groom, who had donned a cocoa- hued suit and a jaunty bow tie for the occasion.
Although the mother of the bride has passed on, her spirit was felt in the hearts of all in attendance as photos honoring her life was projected during the ceremony. Included in the montage was a poignant image of the star’s mother in a wedding dress, which momentarily bridged the gap between this world and the next as the actress and her husband exchanged vows.
Photographs continued to play a part in the day’s events as guests gathered inside a photo booth rented for the reception, capturing memories to last a lifetime.
The presence of their loved ones the only gift desired by the couple, the newlyweds shared the happiness of their special day to others with a request that donations be made to the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, Red Cross, Project Angel Food, Habitat For Humanity and other charities close to their hearts.
