65608: Actress Joy Bryant’s Wedding

As the bonds of a family’s love grew stronger onscreen in the Martin Lawrence comedy Welcome Home, Roscoe Jenkins, the ties between one of its stars and an on set stuntman strengthened behind the scenes during production of the feel good flick. Actress Joy Bryant, who accepted the proposal of David Pope in October 2007, were pronounced husband and wife on June 28, 2008 at a private residence in Amagansett, New York.

According to People magazine online, approximately 100 friends and family members were on hand to witness the bride walk down the aisle in a creation designed by her friend Angela Missoni, the head of the Missoni fashion empire. Hinting that theirs would be a beachfront wedding, the actress had instructed her guests to leave their fancy footwear at home, and after the ceremony the bride conformed with the relaxed code of the day by donning a floral print minidress also bearing the Missoni label.
