From the wedding of King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra to the blessing of Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles‘ union, St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle has been a witness to several of the British royal family’s happiest days. On June 19, 1999, “The Marche Heroique” echoed inside the house of worship as Prince Edward watched Sophie Rhys-Jones walk down the aisle in an ivory silk organza and silk crepe creation, while the fabric of The Duchess of Cornwall’s porcelain blue Robinson Valentine coat dress rustled as she made her way toward the altar, where the Prince of Wales stood in April 2005. Now the Daily Telegraph reports that Autumn Kelly will walk past family and friends in a Sassi Holford design when she exchanges vows with Peter Phillips at the chapel in May 2008. Earlier reports indicated that the Queen’s eldest grandson would say “I do” in the relatively intimate setting of Crathie Kirk, the church near Balmoral Castle where his mother Princess Anne was wed in 1992 to her second husband, Timothy Laurence.
