Since the debut of his first CD, Sinners Like Us, in 2006, country crooner Eric Church has filled music halls around the U.S. and has graced the Grand Ole Opry stage at the Ryman Auditorium. No performance has been as close to his heart, however, as the one on January 8, 2008, when he picked up a guitar at the Westglow Spa & Resort in Blowing Rock, North Carolina and sang a self-penned tune to the woman who was about to become his bride, music publisher Katherine Blasingame.
According to Countryhound.com, guests stood in honor of the bride as she walked down the aisle in a strapless creation by Melissa Sweet, the designer who also fashioned bridesmaids dresses for the 2007 wedding of E! reporter Kirstin (Veitch) Dos Santos. During the ceremony, the groom, who looked dapper in a classic black Dolce & Gabbana suit, slipped a wedding band on to his new wife’s finger which was purchased from Margaret Ellis Jewelry, whose sparklers, which have been worn by members of Little Big Town, can currently be seen on the ABC series, Cashmere Mafia.
