As actress Jane Seymour attempts to foxtrot her way to first place in the fifth season of “Dancing With the Stars,” Lovetripper takes a look back at a spring day in 1993 when the “Wedding Crashers” star said “I do” to director/actor James Keach:
On May 15, 1993, the moving melody from the 1980 romance classic “Somewhere In Time” wafted in the breeze over a private Montecito, California estate as the movie’s star began to walk down a sun-dappled aisle toward the leading man in her life, director James Keach. According to the Enquirer, over 350 guests, the bride’s “Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman” co-star Joe Lando among them, stood in her honor as Jane Seymour walked past in a peach-hued design by David Emanuel. Befitting a queen of both the small and big screen, the co-creator of Princess Diana’s wedding dress fashioned a bodice of Chantilly lace which flowed into a long silk organza overskirt, while a short skirt underneath provided a silhouette worthy of a former James Bond femme fatale. During the 20-minute outdoor ceremony, the bride handed her bouquet composed of roses, lilies and gardenias to one of her bridesmaids as she received from her new husband, actor/director James Keach, a gold wedding band adorned with diamonds.
