As though christening their new life together, a blanket of snow descended upon the Silver Lake Lodge in Deer Valley, Utah the night before U.S. Alpine ski Team member Lindsey Kildow and one-time slalom racer Thomas Vonn exchanged vows. On September 29, 2007, SkiRacing.com reports that approximately 100 friends and family members watched as bridesmaids in dark, strapless dresses made their way down the aisle, then stood in honor of the bride as the Olympian made her entrance. Eschewing a winter white wedding dress, the bride chose a strapless, champagne-hued gown, the folds of its full, lace-accented skirt gently rustling on the wooden floor as she made her way toward the groom.
The ceremony was the culmination of a five-year romance, which was made official with a New Year’s Eve 2006 engagement during the couple’s stay in Kirchberg, Austria. The newlyweds, who will soon head back to the slopes, will wait until springtime, after the snow melts, to embark on a honeymoon.
