Wedding bells rang out in the town of Stein as German television star Mariella Ahrens (“Gute Zeiten, Schlechte Zeiten,” “Im Namen des Gesetzes”) emerged from the Martin Luther Kirche with her husband, Count Patrick Graf von Faber-Castell. Having already pledged their devotion in a December 2006 civil ceremony in New York, the couple chose the luckiest day of the century, July 7, 2007 to receive a religious blessing of their union.
The bride, who gave birth to daughter Lucia in March 2007, donned a diamond tiara which fastened to her chapel-length veil, the diaphanous fabric creating an ethereal illusion as she walked down the aisle in a classic white wedding dress accented with short sleeves and a detailed bodice. The groom opted for a grey morning suit for the occasion.
Following the noon ceremony, the newlyweds climbed into a vintage BMW for a ride to the groom’s family castle, where approximatley 300 guests drank champagne toasts to the happy couple.
