Platinum-selling recording artist Paula Abdul is currently enjoying a golden opportunity to see the sights in Israel during her first-ever destination vacation in the Holy Land.
The pop culture icon, who will soon take on the role of a judge on So You Think You Can Dance Australia, has been dancing on air since beginning her tour of the Land of Milk and Honey, beginning on day one with a repast at a trendy Jerusalem restaurant; shopping in the capital’s Mahane Yehuda market; a visit to the Israel Museum, which houses such archaeological treasures as a figurine deemed the world’s oldest artwork and the Shrine of the Book, a wing of the museum where the Dead Sea Scrolls are on display; and a meeting with with the President of Israel, Shimon Peres, at his official residence.
According to Haim Gutin, Israel Tourism Commissioner, North and South America, over the course of her 10-day stay the “Forever Your Girl” singer “will climb Masada, float in the Dead Sea, tour the Galilee, shop in Tel Aviv and attend the city’s ‘Gindi Fashion Week,'” stating that “the highlight of the trip will be later this week when she celebrates her Bat Mitzvah in Jerusalem.”
